Artwork (*Cone Oscillator*): As the pine cone on the *Cone Oscillator* dries it slowly opens and a toothpick extension fastened to one of its scales presses a switch, activating a motor. A water bottle above is squeezed and the pine cone receives a shower. Now wet, the pine cone closes quickly. Over time, it slowly dries, opens and reactivates the motor, triggering another shower so that the entire process repeats. [See the *Cone Oscillator* in action](https://vimeo.com/145392116).
