> *"MY ARTWORK IS WHERE THE INSIDE (MY THOUGHTS) AND THE OUTSIDE (MY SURROUNDINGS) MEET."*
> *-MARLENE CREATES*

A year-long research project that explores the practices of established Canadian artists through three in-depth interviews, led by upper-year OCAD U students. The project creates a safe space for students, established artists, and cultural advocates to ask questions and share knowledge

Join us for an open conversation with celebrated Canadian artist [Marlene Creates](https://www.marlenecreates.ca/), whose site-specific, multidisciplinary practice has redefined what it means to be a sustainable artist working in Canada.

Marlene's hybrid processes include memory mapping, photography, video, poetry, installation, scientific and vernacular knowledge, and site-specific multidisciplinary collaborative guided walks.
