Welcome Squad: Introduction to Modern Armenian

Image description: student-designed graphic features a photo of musicians and audience as found on the Four Seasons Centre website. Text as found above.

Have fun! Learn the basics of a new language and meet other like-minded students! In collaboration with the student group Armenian Student Association, this workshop will introduce participants to one the oldest languages in the world. Comprising less than 0.2% of Canada’s population, Armenian is important to learn not only as a minority language but because many survivors of the Armenian genocide settled in Canada and now their descendants feel detached and alienated both from Canada and Armenia.
