INDIGENOUS STUDENT ORIENTATION: AUGUST 30-SEPTEMBER 14

Campus & Community Tour - Tuesday August 30, 2022

Join the ISC Team for a drop-in breakfast followed by a tour of OCAD U: Check out your future classrooms, studios and important service areas on campus. We will return to the ISC for a catered lunch, and in the afternoon our team will travel to various Indigenous organizations in the city! All participants will receive a Presto Card and ISC Swag.  To register click here! This event is open to Indigenous OCAD U students and their friends/families.

Please note we will only participate in guided tours at some locations. A finalized schedule for the community tour will be announced soon! Students are not obligated to attend both tours, and can join/leave at any time during the day.

Welcome Day: Thursday September 6

Stop by the Indigenous Student Centre booth at OCAD U Welcome Day! Meet some of our staff, learn about our services, and enter for your chance to win a gift basket full of goodies from Indigenous-owned businesses! Welcome Day is the day we see 1,000 new students descend upon campus to kick off the academic year! Engagement is fun and inviting—including a special welcome and Service Expo, the Annual Above Ground Art Supplies Materials Fair, and Community Fair with free lunch courtesy of Salad King, and a corn roast by Mr. Corn—and more! Welcome day is presented by Campus Life and the OCAD U Student Union, and runs from 9:30am-3:30pm in and outside of 100 McCaul. For more information about other events during welcome day click here

Dish with One Spoon Lunch - Indigenous OCAD U Meet & Greet: Wednesday September 14 

Join us in the Indigenous Student Centre between 12PM-2PM for Indian tacos, refreshments and a meet & greet with Indigenous faculty and staff! This event is being cohosted by the Indigenous Visual Culture program
