Join OCAD University’s Indigenous Student Centre and the RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers for “Identity and Art Making” a lunch and panel conversation featuring Amanda Amour Lynx, Greg Staats, and Edan Maxam. The panel is moderated by Tristian M and Emilia N. featuring a discussion on the complexities that are felt when creating work as an Indigenous artist, expanding on notions of what Indigenous art is and setting boundaries in professional settings.

 

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and leave with strategies to navigate their creative practice.

 

This panel is open to Indigenous OCAD U students, alumni, and members of the Indigenous community.

 

Access notes:

  • There will stim toys available for participants 
  • A meal will be provided as part of the event 
  • OCAD U does not require masks on campus. As the decision to wear a mask is now one of individual choice, we ask that all members of the community demonstrate respect for those who continue to wear masks for health and safety reasons. Masks will continue to be supplied in the CEAD.
