Graphic of a movie slate with text, Data Echo Culture, April 27-28-29

Data Echo Culture is bringing together a rich coalition of people working in the fields of culture and data use. Artists, researchers, entrepreneurs, as well as arts and culture organizations are coming together online to share creative experiences, discover cutting-edge strategies, acquire best practice solutions around data use, and develop collaborative approaches in the arts and culture sector.

Data Echo Culture was co-created by OCAD U and Montreal's Synapse C with Yulism, Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles, and the UK's The Audience Agency.

Speakers include OCAD U President Ana Serrano and OCAD U President Emerita Dr. Sara Diamond.

Through the various sessions, Data Echo Culture aims to position data as a tool to highlight diversity and inclusion as well as to promote the discoverability and outreach of cultural content.

Themes include:

  • Data-sharing: everyday toolbox
  • Data-sharing practices
  • Audience-centred data practices
  • Co-designing responsible data
  • A clever future: making the practice better
