Join us for this year's virtual Academic Year Welcome Keynote, Black Futures, by our new faculty members Angela Bains, Kestin Cornwall, Kathy Moscou, and Michael Lee Poy. In celebration of this year’s Black Cluster hire, their keynote address will speak on the topic of Black Futures at OCAD U and beyond. Apart from introducing themselves, the speakers will share what it means to orient oneself to Place, bringing each of their perspectives to the university community and our work as educators. Their keynote presentation will be complemented with an I-BPOC panel discussion: Future Ancestors and Future Learning on the following day, Thursday, September 3, 4:00pm-5:30pm. These events have been developed in dialogue with one another and we encourage you to attend them both.
