Join us for this artist talk with CASSILS and delve into the transformative power of performance art as a catalyst for social change. CASSILS (Los Angeles/ NYC/ Toronto) is a Canadian transgender artist who makes their own body the material and protagonist of their performances. Cassils' art contemplates the history(s) of LGBTQI+ violence, representation, struggle, and empowerment. They will talk about their work, in the context of their strategies for collaboration, evident across their artistic practice.
