Digital Painting and Expanded Animation is a specialization of both the Integrated Media and Drawing & Painting Programs. For this Drawing & Painting specialization, you’ll focus on digital painting. This is an art form that uses traditional painting techniques but on a computer or tablet. The Integrated Media specialization focuses on animation.
In this program you’ll take the core Drawing & Painting classes but also experiment with animation through 3Dand 2D modeling, texturing and rendering and stop-motion. Beyond the technical skills, you’ll also learn to create your own ideas and artistic voice. You’ll start in first year with Drawing & Painting and art classes and then focus on digital painting in later years.
To apply to this program, you should choose Drawing & Painting and select Digital Painting and Expanded Animation as your subject of major.
At the end of this four-year program, you will earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Get more details about the program.
