Welcome to OCAD University!

If you have received an offer of admission to an undergraduate program, review the details and next steps below.

MEET THESE DEADLINES

RESPOND TO YOUR OFFER

DEADLINE: JUNE 3, 2019

Confirm that you would like to accept your offer of admission by June 3, 2019 through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).

Ontario Secondary School applicants (OUAC101) can find instructions on how to respond to the offer here.

All other applicants (OUAC105) can find instructions on how to respond to the offer here.

PAY THE CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT

DEADLINE: JUNE 11, 2019

Ensure you pay the $500 CAD confirmation deposit to secure your seat. There are a number of ways to pay such as telephone banking, cheque or money order, in-person payments, and international payments such as Western Union or GlobalPay for Students.

SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

RECOMMENDED DEADLINE: JULY 15, 2019

FINAL DEADLINE: AUGUST 15, 2019

To satisfy the conditions of your offer of admission, you must provide all required official documents to meet the academic entrance requirements. You can review your applicant portal to see what required documents you still need to send in.

JOIN A CAMPUS TOUR

Meet one of our student ambassadors for this 1.5 hour long tour. You will catch a glimpse of students putting their imaginations to work in our shops, studios, classrooms and student spaces. You will also have a chance to check out cultural and public spaces in and around our downtown Toronto campus. The tour will be focused on our undergraduate programs, campus life and student services. Feel free to bring a guest or two (or more...). We look forward to seeing you at OCAD U!

Our annual celebration of graduating students is the largest art, design and media exhibition by students in Canada. UNDERSTAND THE LAPTOP PROGRAM

The Laptop Program is unique to OCAD U. It tailors software support to the program you applied to for all students. All students entering undergraduate studies at OCAD University are required to bring a recommended laptop computer with them to University.

REVIEW YOUR SUMMER E-NEWS

NEW to OCAD U is prepared monthly (May through August) by myOCADU and the Campus Life office. It is emailed to new undergraduate students who have accepted OCAD U's offer of admission. Each issue contains timely information designed to support you over the summer and prepare you for September!

APPLY FOR THE EAD PROGRAM (OPTIONAL)

The English for Art and Design (EAD) program is an optional summer program for ESL students entering first year at OCAD University. As a student at OCAD University this fall, you will be speaking English constantly, in class and outside of class. You will work on group projects, discuss and debate with students and faculty, and make presentations about your work in English. English for Art and Design will help you prepare.

International Student Services ensures international students, exchange students and all students wishing to make meaningful global connections have access to innovative services, programs and activities that are responsive to their needs and assist them in becoming successful practitioners in the fields of art and design.

AN APPLICANT WHO PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY OR COMPLETED IB/AP COURSES

APPLY FOR TRANSFER CREDIT

Students who applied to first year may apply for transfer credits if they have attended an accredited post-secondary institution or have completed Higher Level International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP) courses. OCAD U does not assess transfer credits automatically.

Students have 1 year from the time they are admitted to apply for transfer credits and submit only 1 request during their time at OCAD U. We will review your transcript for relevant courses that may fulfill program requirements at all year levels.

Students who request transfer credits for required courses after the deadlines below may lose tuition refund money and may not be able to replace courses in their schedule after they receive their transfer credit results for required courses.

Request deadline for required Fall term courses: August 1, 2019

Request deadline for required Winter term courses: November 15, 2019

Request deadline for required Spring/Summer term courses: March 31, 2020

Final Request Deadline:

August 31 following your admission date

For September 2019 entry students, the final deadline is August 31, 2020. Late requests will not be accepted.

If you would like your previously completed courses considered, please review the Transfer Credit Guidelines, submit a Transfer Credit Request Form, and all required documents.
