The cost of going on exchange will vary depending on the country you wish to go to.

Costs

  • $100 Exchange Program application fee (non-refundable)
  • You will pay tuition and ancillary fees (2.5 credits) to OCAD U
  • Expenses will include transportation to and from the host institution, visas (if applicable), accommodation, food, medical insurance and personal spending
  • Review the reports from students who have been on exchange for more information

Funding

OSAP/Government Loans
If you are receiving OSAP or other government loans, it is your responsibility to speak to a Financial Aid Advisor in the Financial Aid & Awards Office before you apply for exchange.

Scholarships
If you are receiving a scholarship, it is your responsibility to speak to a Financial Aid Advisor in the Financial Aid & Awards Office before you apply for exchange.

Exchange Bursary
There are a limited number of bursaries for exchange students. Only OSAP eligible students will be considered. To apply for a bursary, you must complete the application form through the myocadu.ca portal (see 'Award Spring').

External Scholarships


BUTEX
The scholarship is open to all undergraduate students who have been offered a study abroad or exchange place at a UK university which is BUTEX-affiliated. 

OJS (Ontario/Jiangsu)
The OJS Student Exchange Program offers scholarships to selected participants who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
