Professor Rushton has served OCAD University since 1973 and teaches communication design in the Faculty of Design. He is a designer, educator, artist, and writer. His design focus is on graphic communication, colour, typography, information design and corporate communication. Keith has served as Chair of the Graphic Design program at OCAD University, as well as OCAD University’s Academic Council, the predecessor to its current Senate. He has also been a member of the OCAD University Board of Governors.
Professor Rushton was the first joint winner of the Price Award for Teaching Excellence at OCAD University as well as the 2007 Leadership in Faculty Teaching Awards (LIFT), which recognizes the top 100 of Ontario’s best post-secondary faculty.
President of Keith Rushton and Associates, his work has been published both domestically and internationally. . Six of his firm's stationery designs are in the permanent collection of the Postal Museum, a member of the Louvre Museums, Paris, France.
