Samantha Matters is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and a graduate student in the Strategic Foresight and Innovation program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Alberta. Passionate about the intersection of society and the environment, Samantha has been exploring the relationship Canadians have with nature and ways to improve it through her work in both public and non-profit sectors, currently running her own NGO. She aims to bring both her experience and unique background to the Board of Governors; advocating for diversity, inclusion and sustainability in all decision-making processes, and representing the voice of graduate students at OCAD U.
