These are:
- The OCAD Professional Gallery, located in the Main Building on Level 2
- The Student Gallery, located at 285 Dundas St. West, just east of Dundas and McCaul
- Transit Space, located in the Main Building on Level 2
- The Great Hall, located in the Main Building on Level 2
The OCAD Professional Gallery
Launched in April 2007 with an exhibit by international artist Rirkrit Tiravanija, OCAD’s Professional Gallery is a new, 1200 square-foot space devoted to facilitating connections between, and the contemplation of, contemporary art and design practice.
The Student Gallery
Student Gallery is committed to the professional exhibition of all disciplines of contemporary art and design by students of the university. Through its program of curated exhibitions, the Student Gallery provides students with the opportunity to experience mounting an exhibition and introduces the public and art communities to the work of emerging artists and designers. Submissions by students are reviewed each year in the spring. For information on how to submit proposals, download the Student Gallery Mandate (PDF).
Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 12 noon to 6 pm.
Transit Space
Transit Space is a non-curated venue which may be booked by faculty or students for exhibitions. Allocation of exhibitions in Transit Space is facilitated through the Exhibition Services Advisory Board for two week exhibition periods. For information on how to submit proposals, download the Transit Space Application Form (PDF).
The Great Hall
The Great Hall is a multi-purpose space which is programmed through the year with exhibitions and events organized by the Faculty of Art and the Faculty of Design. Display Cases For information about displaying your work in the display cases around campus, contact your Faculty office.
