Requesting Transcripts
An academic transcript is a confidential document and may only be issued at the signed, written request of the student. All official grades recorded in the student record will be reported on the transcript. Grades for a current semester will not be recorded until officially released, approximately one month after the end of semester. Students may opt to have their transcript request held until grades are released.
Regular Service, $10 per transcript
1990 to present, allow seven to 10 business days
Pre-1990, allow up to four weeks
Express Service, $20 per transcript*
1990 to present only, issued within one business day
Pre-1990, service not available
*Express Service is not available during the first two weeks and the last two weeks of the fall and winter semesters.
Transcripts may be requested in person, by mail or by fax at 416-977-4201 (not by telephone or email), using the Transcript Request Form (PDF). Please include the following:
- full name under which you were registered
- date of birth
- years of attendance
- OCAD U student number
- current name if different from above
- current address
- daytime telephone number
- complete name and mailing address of transcript recipient
- payment of $10 (regular service) or $20 (next business day service) by cheque or money order payable to OCAD University, or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express

Requesting Other Documents
Students may request confirmation of enrollment letters, confirmation of graduation letters and confirmation of payment letters. These documents may be requested by submitting a Request Proof of Enrollment/Graduation Form (PDF) and any applicable fees.
How We Notify You
During the academic year, information may be posted on the OCAD U website or sent to the student email account or to the current home address. Information may also be sent to the permanent address during the summer months. Changes to your permanent address must be submitted in writing to the Office of the Registrar.
Students are responsible for updating any changes to their current address on the OCAD U Information System. You can access the OCAD U Information System through the student portal 'STUDENT LOGIN/My Records' found under 'STUDENTS'.
