2.0 Software Fee
The core software bundle includes the most current version of the Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium, Microsoft Office and unlimited access to Lynda.com. This represents a huge savings to students over purchasing commercial licenses, or even standard educational licensing.
- Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium: Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Unlimited Access to Lynda.com Software Tutorials
When new versions of Microsoft Office or Adobe Creative Suite are released, we roll these out to students typically by the next semester. We only provide Adobe CS discs for the version that is current in September of a given year.
2.1 Program Specific Fees
All Program Specific Fees are one-time (lifetime) fees only.
Graphic Design and Advertising: Font Fee $200: Adobe Font Folio OpenType Edition
The Adobe Font Folio is a suite of 2270 fonts.
Environmental Design: CAD Fee $140: Sketchup Pro
Students receive an educational license for Google Sketchup Pro for the duration of their stay at the university.
Industrial Design: CAD Fee $110: Rhino 3D
Industrial Design students receive educational licenses of Rhino 3D.
Material Art & Design: CAD Fees

2.2 Mobile Computing Fee
The Mobile Computing Fee is charged once per year to students in the mandatory Laptop Program, and is indexed to the Core Studio course that the student is enrolled in. The support of student-owned technology requires a separate fee. The fee for 2010-2011 is $165.

2.3 Print Fee
Each year of the Faculty of Design Laptop Program, students pay $50 towards print credits which can be used for black & white and colour printing at the university.
