Access Bursary
The Access Bursary Program is designed to assist students who face extreme financial hardship in attending post-secondary and have been involved with community-based programs which have supported them in their efforts to reach post-secondary. Access bursaries vary in amount, and may be renewable for a maximum of four years, based on individual circumstances. Bursaries are paid in two equal installments (one payment per semester) and are generally given as tuition credits. The Access Bursary Program is established through tuition revenues (OCAD U Student Assistance Fund (OSAF) and Bursary Program).

Emergency Bursary
A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. Emergency bursary funds are designed to assist students who experience an unexpected financial crisis that is unplanned, beyond the student’s control, and has an immediate negative financial impact. Emergency bursaries range greatly in value, depending on individual circumstances and the payment format (tuition credit or cheque) will also vary. Emergency funds are limited. The Emergency Bursary Programs are established through endowments (OCAD U Emergency Bursary Program) and tuition revenues (OCAD U Student Assistance Fund (OSAF) Emergency Bursary Program).

Florence Bursary Andre Beaulieu OTSS
A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. Florence Bursaries range in value from $500 to $5000 depending on individual circumstances, and generally are given as tuition credits in August. Approximately 10 bursaries are available. The Florence Bursary Programs are established through endowments to the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) and tuition revenues (OSAF).

Mobility/Exchange Bursary Joubin-Selig OTSS Bursary
A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. The Mobility/Exchange Bursary Programs are established through endowments to the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) and tuition revenues (OSAF). The Joubin-Selig bursary was established by the Franc R. Joubin Trust/Marion, Marea and David Selig through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) to assist gifted and/or financially needy students to study enrichment programs in their field of study in Canada and internationally. Mobility/Exchange Bursaries range in value from $500 to $5000 depending on individual circumstances, and generally are given as tuition credits. Approximately 10 bursaries are available through both programs.

Ontario Aboriginal Postsecondary Education & Training
OCAD U is pleased to announce that the Government of Ontario has allocated funding to create a bursary fund for Aboriginal students through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities’ Aboriginal postsecondary education funding approach. This bursary opportunity will provide direct support to Aboriginal students with financial need to access support to aid their participation in postsecondary education and training. A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. Ontario Aboriginal PSET Bursaries will range in value.

Ontario First Generation Bursary
OCAD U is pleased to announce that the Government of Ontario has allocated funding to create a bursary fund for First Generation Students through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities’ Access and Opportunities Strategy. This bursary opportunity will provide direct support to students with financial need who are the first in their families to attend college or university. A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. Each Ontario First Generation Bursary is given as a tuition credit. A limited number of bursaries are available. The exact amount available in 2013/2014 will be confirmed in the Fall 2013.

OTSS Academic Bursary
An academic bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Each OTSS Academic Bursary is as a tuition credit in two installments. The OTSS Academic Bursary Program is established on a yearly basis with revenue generated from donations and endowments to the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS).

OTSS Graduate Studies Bursary
A bursary is a non-repayable award given on the basis of financial need. OTSS Graduate Studies Bursaries range in value, depending on individual circumstances. Approximately 5-10 bursaries are available. The OTSS Graduate Studies Bursary Program is established on a yearly basis with revenue generated from donations and endowments to the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS).
