Registration opens at 9:00 am for students who have completed a total of 17.5 or more credits.

Monday, July 6
Registration opens at 12:05 am for students who have completed a total of 14.5 to 17.25 credits.

Wednesday, July 8
Registration opens at 12:05 am for students who have completed a total of 12.0 to 14.25 credits.

Friday, July 10
Registration opens at 12:05 am for students who have completed a total of 9.5 to 11.75 credits.

Monday, July 13
Registration opens at 12:05 am for students who have completed a total of 6.0 to 9.25 credits.

Wednesday, July 15
Registration opens at 12:05 am for students who have completed a total of 0 to 5.75 credits.

Monday, July 20
Deadline for students to submit applications for the following bursary programs to the Financial Aid & Awards office: Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) Entrance Bursary Program (new students), Andre Beaulieu OTSS Bursary Program (for students studying off-campus in the Florence Program), Joubin-Selig OTSS Bursary Program (for students studying off-campus in Mobility/Exchange Program in the fall semester).

Recommended deadline for new and returning students to apply for OSAP to guarantee funds will be available in September.

Friday, July 31
Deadline to submit Letter of Permission requests for 2009 fall semester credit.

August

Friday, August 14
Deadline for Mobility/Exchange applicants for the 2010 winter semester to the International Student Services Office.

Friday, August 21
Last day for fee payment without a late fee. Students who have not paid their fees in full, submitted a Student Loan Deferment Form to the Financial Aid & Awards Office, OR provided proof of sponsorship to the Student Accounts Clerk by this deadline will incur a $50 late payment fee.

Students who register for courses after August 21, 2009 must pay their fees in full by the next business day. Students who have not paid their fees in full by the next business day of registering will incur a $50 late payment fee.

Saturday, August 22 to Monday, September 14
Late registration period for new registrants for 2009 full year (duration 1) and fall semester (duration 2) courses, with a late fee.

September

Tuesday, September 1 to Friday, September 18
Fall OSAP Disbursement, Level 1, 51 McCaul Street as per the schedule available from the Financial Aid & Awards Office.

Monday, September 7
Labour Day. University closed.

Tuesday, September 8
First day of 2009 full year (duration 1) and fall semester (duration 2) classes.

Office of the Registrar open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Office of the Registrar open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Monday, September 14
Last day for full year (duration 1) and fall semester (duration 2) late course registration. Registration closes for full year (duration 1) and fall semester (Duration 2) adds, drops and course changes.

Last day to withdraw from full year (duration 1) and fall semester (duration 2) courses with 100% refund.

Tuesday, September 15 to Monday, September 28
Withdrawal period for fall semester (duration 2) courses with 65% tuition refund. Course withdrawal request forms must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar by 4 pm.

Tuesday, September 15 to Friday, October 9
Withdrawal period for full year (duration 1) courses with 65% tuition refund. Course withdrawal request forms must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar during regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

Monday, September 21
Deadline to request a deferred examination for full year (duration 1) and fall semester (duration 2) courses on the basis of religious obligations.

Friday, September 25
Last day to submit summer duration 6 grade appeals.

Deadline for students participating in the Mobility/Exchange Program in the 2009/2010 winter semester to submit applications for the Joubin-Selig Bursary Program and the Ontario International Education Opportunity Scholarship to the Financial Aid & Awards Office.

Monday, September 28
Last day to withdraw from fall semester (duration 2) courses with 65% tuition refund. Course withdrawal request forms must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar by 4 pm.

Deadline for students to submit applications for the following bursary programs to the Financial Aid & Awards Office: Ontario First Generation Bursary Program (First Generation students), Métis Nation of Ontario Student Awards Program (Métis students), Norman & Margaret Jewison Charitable Foundation Bursary (Aboriginal students), Joubin-Selig OTSS Bursary Program (for students studying off-campus in Mobility/Exchange Program in the winter semester), Ontario International Education Opportunity Scholarship (for students studying off-campus in the Florence or Mobility/Exchange Programs), Chaney-Ensign Bursary Program (students from the Hamilton region – fall semester), and the OTSS Graduate Studies Bursary Program.

Deadline to submit documents and a waiver to opt out of the Student Benefit Plans (Dental and/or Health) or for students to opt into one or both of these plans (part-time student or family coverage).

Friday, October 2
Last day to submit late graduation applications to the Office of the Registrar for 2009 Fall Graduation with a late fee.

Wednesday, October 7
Final deadline to apply for OSAP (for students registered in the fall semester only).

Friday, October 9

Last day of regular fall semester (duration 2) classes.

Final examination and critique period for fall semester (duration 2) classes and critiques for Self-Directed Studies. Student attendance is required.

Students who do not submit the Program Major Request form will be restricted from registration for the following academic year.
