Getting started: faculty

1. Log in to your OCAD email account

Your faculty e-mail address is the official method of communication with the university and your students. Log in at https://outlook.ocad.ca.

Your faculty email username and password provides access to email, the wireless network, faculty and computer studio desktop computers, and Canvas. Your username is usually your first initial followed by your last name. If you forget your password, please come directly to the IT Help Desk at 341 with your OCAD U ID card to have your password reset. Contact the IT Help Desk at x277 for assistance.

2. Log in to Canvas

Canvas is OCAD U's learning management system. It has a number of strengths that particularly suit it to art and design education.

3. How do I use the AV equipment in the smart classrooms?

Many smart classrooms require a media kit (key, AV cables, and remote control), these are available from one of our AV Help Desks.

All classrooms in the Sharp Centre for Design are equipped with Airplay, this means that you can wirelessly connect your Apple laptop, iPad or iPhone to the classroom projector.

AV Help Desks are located in 100 McCaul MCA, 113 McCaul MCC and 205 Richmond RHA. Click here for more information.
