Ancillary fees

Class Fees

The class fee for the 2016 Summer Term is $10.50 per 0.5 credit course. The class fee for the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year for both full-time and part-time students is $10.50 per 0.5 credit course.

Academic Equipment and New Technology Fee

All students registered for the Fall and Winter terms are charged a fee for Academic Equipment/New Technology. For the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year, the fee is $3.10 per 0.5 credit course.

Health Promotion and Counsel Fee

All students registered in the Fall/Winter and/or Summer terms are charged a fee for Health Promotion and Personal Counselling Services. For the 2016 Summer Term, the fee is $10 per 0.5 credit course. For the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year, the fee is $17.50 per 0.5 credit course.

Learning Resources Fee

All students registered in the Fall/Winter and/or Summer terms are charged a Learning Resources Fee. For the 2016 Summer Term, the fee is $2.30 per 0.5 credit course. For the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year, the fee is $4.25 per 0.5 credit course. 

Career Services Fee

The Career Services Fee for the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year is $3.10 per 0.5 credit course.

Student Union Fee

The Student Union fee for the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year is a flat rate of $101.00 for both full-time and part-time students.

Student Union — External Space Fee

The Student Union — External Space fee for the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year is a flat rate of $54.42 for both full-time and part-time students.

Canadian Federation of Students

The CFS fee for the 2016-2017 Fall Winter academic year is $3.16 for students enrolled in less than 1.5 credit, $6.32 for students enrolled in 1.5 credits or more per term.

Health Plan Fee

Students registered in 1.5 credits or more during the Fall term are enrolled in the Health Plan and are charged a fee of $190 for 2016-2017. Participation is compulsory. Students enrolled in less than 1.5 credits in Fall term may join the plan in the month their studies begin. Family coverage is also available. Coverage lasts from September 1st to August 31st. Details on the Health Plan can be found on the Health and Dental Plan page.

Dental Plan Fee

Students registered in 1.5 credits or more during the Fall term are enrolled in the Dental Plan and are charged a fee of $175 for 2016-2017. Participation is compulsory. Students enrolled in less than 1.5 credits in Fall term may join the plan in the month their studies begin. Family coverage is also available. Coverage lasts from September 1st to August 31st. University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP)

All international students studying in Ontario are required to participate in the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP). The UHIP fee for 2016-2017 is $612. Family coverage is available. The plan provides basic health-care benefits, including hospital and doctor services. Details on the UHIP plan can be found on the Student Insurance Plans page.
