Governor General’s Academic Medals

The Governor General’s Academic Medals are awarded annually to a graduate student and an undergraduate student who achieve the highest academic standing upon graduation from a master's degree program (Gold Medal) and a bachelor's degree program (Silver Medal). The medals are awarded at the spring graduation ceremony on behalf, and in the name of, the governor general. No application is required.

Financial assistance for indigenous post-secondary students

Indspire disburses bursaries and scholarships through its Building Brighter Futures program to Indigenous students who are enrolled in post-secondary programs.  Since 1985, Indspire has disbursed bursaries and scholarships to First Nation, Inuit, and Metis post-secondary students.  It is the largest funder for Indigenous education outside of the federal government. Innovation in Education Scholarship

LA Tutors 123 offers a $500 Innovation Scholarship each month to high school and college/university students who showcase their creativity in a new exciting way to make a positive impact - whether it's setting a world record to raise money for cancer research or becoming an activist for a worthy cause.  For more information and the application, visit the LA Tutors 123 website. All submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on the 20th of each month.

Joubin-Selig Scholarship Fund

The Joubin/Selig Scholarship Fund was established by Toronto Foundation donors to provide financial assistance to post-second students in Ontario with permanent physical (mobility) disabilities who wish to pursue an education in their chosen field of study.  For more information, visit the Toronto Foundation website. The deadline to apply is April 21, 2017.

Richard West Law Office Scholarship

The Richard West Law Office offers a scholarship to college and university students bi-annually for $500.  For more information visit the Richard West Law Office website.  The deadline to apply is May 1 and November 1 each year.

Sarah Gaulin Memorial Scholarship

The Gaulin Foundation offers a national scholarship that promotes the resilience of individuals with mental illness pursuing post-secondary education.  For more information, visit the Gaulin Foundation website. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2017.

MLD Scholarship Scholarship

MLD Wealth Management Group offers an annual $3000 scholarship to invest in the future leaders of Canada and the United States.  MLD believes that by supporting the development of students who possess vision, drive, compassion and a thirst for knowledge, we can improve society and drive industry. Emily Woodward Scholarship

Real Money Ltd. believes that giving back to the community is something every responsible organisation should invest in.  They have established an annual scholarship of $2000, aimed at supporting the education of one bright young mind.  For more information, visit the RealMoney.co.uk website. Azazie Scholarship

Azazie offers a new $1000 scholarship to a student attending an accredited US or Canadian college/university during the 2017/18 academic year.  Students must submit a written essay as part of the application. For more information, visit the Azazie website. The deadline to apply is May 31, 2017.

Nurture for Nature Scholarship

Petazi offers a $1200 scholarship with a mission of sharing inspiring stories about animals and pets in particular. Their goal is to make this world a better place by increasing people's awareness for protecting animals. For more information, visit the Petazi website. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2017.

My Visa Source Scholarship

My Visa Source offers a scholarship to any student enrolled in a Canadian or US university in Fall 2017.  For more information, visit the My Visa Source website. The deadline to apply is July 30, 2017.

Bill 7 Award

The Bill 7 Award is a scholarship for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, and/or queer (LGBTQ) who are in financial need and studying at any post-secondary institution in Ontario to attain their first degree or diploma.  This year they will be awarding 10 scholarships of $2500 each. Start Proud 2017 Student Leadership Scholarship

Start Proud, formerly known as Out on Bay, is committed to recognizing excellence in the Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer (LGBTQ+) student communities across Canada in order to help students excel in their career.  Star Proud offers two $2500 scholarships annually to provide resources to help students achieve their educational goals. Dazzling Watch Scholarship

Protechlists Scholarship

Outdoor Hobbyist Scholarship

Online Resume Builders Annual Scholarship

Healthcare and Life Sciences Scholarship

The Expert Institute's 3rd annual Healthcare and Life Sciences Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship for students who are currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees related to healthcare or the life sciences.  Students from Canada are welcome to apply for the award.
