CAWIC Bursary

The Canadian Association of Women in Construction offers a financial bursaries to female students in post-secondary institutions who aspire to careers in construction.  For more information, visit the CAWIC website.  The deadline to apply is May 9, 2016.

Lucy Morrison Bursary

IODE Ontario offers a general bursary to all undergraduate students in Ontario colleges in universities on the basis of financial need. Applicants must have completed at least one full year of study at an approved university or college and studying at an accredited post-secondary institution in Ontario and must be a Canadian citizen. The IODE Lucy Morrison Bursary is awarded throughout the year (there is no deadline). More information and the application can be found at IODE Ontario.

Chaney-Ensign Bursary Fund

Through the Chaney-Ensign Bursary Fund, the Hamilton Community Foundation provides modest educational bursaries to students who demonstrate serious financial need and who completed their high school requirements in publicly-funded secondary schools located in the City of Hamilton. Students must be in attendance at an approved college or university in Canada. This bursary fund is generally intended to assist students enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies, although part-time studies may be considered. The application can be downloaded from the link below, or is available from the Financial Aid & Awards office upon request. The deadline to submit completed applications to the Financial Aid & Awards office is October 1 (Fall Semester) or February 1 (Winter Semester). Applications will be reviewed by the Manager, Financial Aid & Awards, and forwarded to the Hamilton Community Foundation for a final decision. Kin Canada Bursaries

Kin Canada Bursaries, a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, provides financial help for those seeking higher learning. Bursary awards are $1,000 in value. A limited number are available each year. All students who are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents, are registered in full-time studies at a recognized university or college, who demonstrate high ideals and qualities of citizenship and have not previously received a bursary from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, may be eligible to apply to this bursary program. For more information and the application, visit Kin Canada Bursaries

CLWD Educational Bursary

Community Living Walkerton & District is an organization that endeavors to promote effective practices of inclusion for all people. An educational bursary of $1,000 will be made available to a full-time, post-secondary student who demonstrates commitment toward stronger and inclusive communities. Eligible applicants will reside in Bruce County or Grey County in Ontario, Canada (it is understood that they may live elsewhere to attend school) and be accepted to study full-time at a recognized Canadian institution in a post-secondary program. Submit a 500-word essay to the Selections Committee to  demonstrate personal and/or professional experiences and challenges in promoting inclusion for persons with disabilities; and include in the essay an indication of commitment to being a builder of stronger communities and good citizenship. Storwell Foster Children Bursary Program

Storwell offers an annual bursary of $2000 in support of foster children to help them attend post-secondary schools and to offer a hand up as they make their way forward in life. For more information, visit the Storwell website.  the deadline to apply is December 15, 2016.
