Photo identification

Students, staff and faculty are required to carry a valid OCAD University Photo ID card while on campus in order to access some of the buildings, areas and services on campus.

  • AV loans
  • Copy and print services
  • IT and laptop help desks
  • Library services
  • Studio equipment rental
  • Scheduled exams

Lost Photo ID cards are subject to a $20 replacement fee.

Staff/faculty must present a copy of their current contract in order to renew or obtain a new Photo ID card.

OCAD University Photo ID cards may currently be obtained at the Facilities, Planning & Management office located in MCD 120. (Location subject to change.)

Hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Operational hours are subject to seasonal and holiday changes.)

Card and key access

University employees and students requiring card access and/or key access to specific rooms or areas must submit all requests to their department head, or delegate.

Requests that are approved will be forwarded by the department head, or delegate to KeyCardAccessRequests@ocadu.ca for processing.

Requests for card access will be processed and the access will start within three business days of the departmental approval being received. There is no need to go to the facilities office for card access requests.

Requests for keys that are forwarded by the department head or delegate will be processed within the business days and an email will be sent to the requester when the key(s) are ready for pick up.

Note: Each employee or student must sign for the key(s) assigned to them.
