Career Advising: Current Students

Weekly opportunities for one-on-one career advising remain available to current students, and we otherwise encourage participation in the wide range of programming available all year long that has been developed to help address many of the fundamentals associated with career planning.

Current students use the OCAD U Talent Network to book appointments. To book an appointment using the Talent Network, please follow these four steps:

  1. Log in at www.ocadu.ca/talentnetwork and follow the "Students" path
  2. Complete your personal and academic profile - you will not be able to book an appointment otherwise
  3. Under the "Events & Advising" tab select "Workshops & Advising" and RSVP for a date/timeslot that fits your schedule. The timeslot you select will no longer be available to others once you choose it.
  4. Come for your appointment at the Learning Zone in 113 McCaul.

Please come prepared with your résumé/CV and, if you have one ready, an online portfolio, in order to help guide the conversation accordingly. Visit our Tools & Resources page for guides on how to you can develop them.

Students can also come out to drop-in clinics which run regularly, the details for which can be found on our Workshops & Events page

Career Advising: Recent Alumni

Select opportunities for one-on-one career advising remain available to recent alumni up to 5 (five) years after graduation, and alumni are otherwise welcome to participate in the student programming available (subject to available space).

Recent alumni can request a career advising appointment by e-mailing careerdevelopment@ocadu.ca
