FedDev Ontario's Applied Research & Commercialization (ARC) Initiatives

OCAD U  received two rounds of funding in 2012-2013 from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario for Applied Research and Commercialization initiatives (FedDev Ontario) of $1,056,600 (with a total project value of $ 1,931,800.00)

FedDev Ontario's Applied Research and Commercialization (ARC) Initiative was a pilot initiative aimed at addressing the gap between research and commercialization in southern Ontario by encouraging collaboration between small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Post Secondary Institutions and to accelerate innovation, to improve productivity and competitiveness for businesses located in southern Ontario.

The FedDev Ontario's ARC Initiatives provided relevant work experience to OCAD U students,  supported the university's strategic plan, and reinforced OCAD University as a leader in research and innovation.
