Ontario Universities' Fair
Visit OCAD University at the Ontario Universities' Fair (OUF) from October 14 to 16, 2011 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Meet with hundreds of representatives from all 21 Ontario universities. Please visit the Ontario Universities' Fair website for more information.
Look Inside: OCAD University's Annual Open House
Look inside the behind-the-scenes world of art and design. Take a studio tour, watch a student demo, or talk with faculty and staff. We'll provide a glimpse of emerging trends and where art and design practice is making new connections. Imagine yourself here. Our annual Open House will take place on Saturday October 29, 2011 from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
National Portfolio Day

Create Your Future
A special event for applicants who have received an offer of admission to OCAD University. Learn about the first-year experience, studio and lab facilities, as well as the tremendous resources available in our community to support your creative growth. Talk to staff, students and administrators, and take a self-guided tour. Admissions staff will be on hand to accept outstanding documents and answer any questions you may have. Self-guided tours will take place after a panel discussion.
Portfolio Clinics
OCAD University has created a unique program designed to help you make the best portfolio presentation possible. This daylong clinic will help fill in the gaps in your visual art and design experience, build your confidence in working with different materials and techniques, and give you an opportunity to explore new territory. Summer Intensive Program
Your portfolio is a visual representation of who you are. As a beginning artist or designer you need to learn the skills, concepts and language to successfully convey your ideas as a visual communicator. Digital Summer Intensive Program
Digital technology is transforming everyday life, creative practices and cultural industries. With this rapid evolution many artists and designers are moving beyond current technologies, inventing hybrid approaches to research and studio practice. Campus Visits
Tours of our facilities are available during regular business hours in October, November, January, February and March. The Admissions & Recruitment office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays).
Please note: Tours are not available during OCAD U's study week.
Group Tours: (five or more) must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance through the Admissions & Recruitment Department; please call 416-977-6000, Ext. 489 or email to make arrangements. Please note that all high-school groups must be accompanied by a teacher or chaperone. Groups larger than 20 students should have more than one teacher or chaperone.
Guided Tours:
October-April are available every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1 p.m. (excluding holidays and within the calendar restrictions listed above). No appointment is necessary. Please go to the lobby of our main building, 100 McCaul Street, and meet one of our Student Ambassadors.
May-September are available every Friday at 1p.m.(excluding holidays and within the calendar restrictions listed above). No appointment is neccessary. Please go to the lobby of our main building, 100 McCaul Street, and meet one of our Student Ambassadors.
Drop In: If you are unable to participate in one of our guided tours, please come to Admissions & Recruitment on Level 3 at 230 Richmond Street, pick up an information package that includes a map and take a self-guided tour. You are welcome to come back to our office with any questions. The same calendar restrictions listed above apply.
