COURSE DESCRIPTIONS AND FEES

Visual Culture Classes (non-credit): This course will help prepare you for your first-year Visual Culture course by introducing you to specialized vocabulary and concepts in art and design. Through this course you will become more confident expressing your opinions, writing short essays and responses, and participating in class discussions in English.

Skills Workshops (non-credit): Conversation classes will help you gain confidence with informal conversational English. Reading classes will help you learn to read the kinds of texts you will be assigned in your OCAD University classes.

The program includes gallery visits every Friday to a Toronto gallery or museum with a native speaker as your guide. You will also be able to participate in weekend cultural activities and other outings that will give you a chance to meet current OCAD U students and get to know Toronto.

Schedule

July 8 to August 9, 2013, 5 days a week for 5 weeks.
Students may choose either the morning or the afternoon section:

Morning section
Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Gallery visits on Friday afternoons

Afternoon section
Monday to Thursday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Gallery visits on Friday afternoons

2013 Program Fees

$1,937.95 (includes $50 application fee and $65 materials fee)
