All five courses are credit courses required for Art and Design students. These are challenging courses for all OCAD University students and you will need a high level of English to succeed.
When you enroll in English Language Pathway you will be registered in a special section of each of these courses, or in a special small group tutorial that meets in addition to the regular course. These are not “ESL classes” — the content of the Pathway sections is the same as other sections of the course and they are taught by regular OCAD University instructors who are specialists in Art and Design. The difference is that in the Pathway sections your instructors will give you extra help in developing your language skills and completing assignments. For all your other courses, you will enroll in regular course sections.
English Language Pathway is your chance to get off to a strong start at OCAD University. The skills you learn in this program will benefit you through all your years at OCAD U.
