CURRICULAR DOCUMENTATION
Curricular Documentation Policy
Please read through carefully to ensure that requests meet the following guidelines.
Content eligible for video documentation can be defined as:
a) lectures or events that support or document curricular activities
b) video content from events that meet the Library's or Archive's collection development guidelines
c) lectures or events sponsored by either an OCAD U Academic Department, Administrative Office, or the Office of the University President
1) Video projects will be evaluated and prioritized by time, staff availability, available equipment, present/future curricular support, and available funds. If your request approved, you will be notified in writing before said event. The Head of Visual Resources & Special Collections must approve all video/photographic projects.
2) Requests for video documentation must provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice and are subject to the availability of personnel and equipment.
3) No lectures or presentations will be recorded/captured unless all speakers have signed a Release Form. This form will be provided to you when your request is confirmed. All signed release forms must be returned to Visual Resources 48 hours prior to recording.
4) Documentation is available during standard hours of operation only.
5) The Visual Resources department will only record, document and/or produce projects for OCAD University.
6) All master footage or images captured by the Visual Resources department will become the property of OCAD University Library & Archives.
7) Editing or post-production work, over and above basic preparation of the footage for viewing is not available at this time.
These policies are reviewed regularly and will be subject to change according to departmental resources and strategic planning.
