A research, collaboration and capitalization brainstorming workshop. Researchers and implementers from academia, industry, health institutions, and health research institutions, will hear, talk, and think about the possibilities that exist for collaborations on innovative projects that can improve our experience with the healthcare system, benefit our health, and foster wellness. What type of projects are feasible? What are some issues with the healthcare system at-large that we can address? How do these collaborations happen? Who is best suited for collaboration? Where does the funding come from?

Strategy Session #2 with focus on Total Design

A focused discussion led by break-out session chairs, with the goals to report on break-out session highlights; summarize the highlights of the research presented at the summit so far; discuss the structure of the research, i.e. types of collaboration, funding models, industry involvement, policy implications, and benefits to the economy, etc.; explore opportunities stemming from the research presented of other possible research collaborations; brainstorm as to what support mechanisms would provide a conducive environment for such research and collaborations; outline a support strategy that includes funding models and policy changes at the levels of government, research funding councils, academic institutions and their departments, and industry.
