Project Chroma will involve changes to processes that have been in place at the University for many years. These changes will provide opportunities for the OCAD U community to re-think challenges that have limited effective service delivery and support for students. Successful implementation of changes will be supported by staff training and consultation. Communication updates to faculty and students regarding the status of the project and achievement of key milestones will be ongoing throughout the life of the project.
As a multi-year project with a broad scope, touching on almost all administrative processes, subject matter experts from key departments will play a major role in the success of the project. Comprehensive planning, including a detailed analysis of current business processes, will inform selection of enterprise solutions that meet our institutional objectives. Once a solution is selected a multi-phased implementation will be undertaken to effectively migrate services and administrative operations to the new solution.
Project Chroma will be transformative. It will also be challenging. To fully realize the potential of this transformation the support and enthusiasm of the OCAD University community will be a tremendous asset. The project leadership is committed to successfully engaging the community throughout and will provide updates on implementation planning and outcomes of key decisions so that all students, faculty and staff feel involved in this exciting project.
