PAYING FOR COPIES & PRINTS

How to Load My Student Print Account

  1. Go to the cashier in the Red Building (Rosalie Sharp Pavillion) at 115 McCaul Street in the basement.
  2. Present your student card to the cashier.
  3. Indicate that you want to add to your print account, and not your copy account.
  4. Pay the cashier the amount you want added to the account. The cashier accepts cash, debit and credit cards.

Remember that your print and copy accounts are two separate entities. In order to print, you must add money to your print account, not your copy account.

During regular cashier hours you may only add money to your print account at the cashier. You may not add money at the Digital Print Centre.

How to Load My Student Copy Account

You cannot add money to your copy account at the Digital Print Centre.

How to Pay for My Prints After the Cashier Is Closed

  1. Go to either Digital Print Centre when they are open, but the cashier is closed.
  2. Present your student card.
  3. Add money to your print account using cash or materials tickets.
  4. If you are adding in cash, tax will be deducted from your deposit.
  5. Remember that your print and copy accounts are two separate entities. In order to print, you must add money to your print account, not your copy account.

You cannot add cash to your print account at the Digital Print Centre during regular cashier hours.
Please note that the Digital Print Centre stocks limited change.

While you can add money to your print account after the cashier is closed, you cannot add money to your copy account.

How to Pay for My Prints with Tickets

  1. Go to either Digital Print Centre during regular hours of operation.
  2. Present your student card.
  3. Submit materials tickets to be added to your print account.

How to Have My Faculty Print Account Topped up

If you can’t print because your faculty account is out of money, or you got an email from “root” telling you your faculty account was low:

  1. Contact your faculty office. They will ensure your account is filled.
  2. If you need your prints right away, come to the Digital Print Centre: Level 2 with your files, and we can print them for you. We are located here.

How to Print Something for Staff/Faculty Personal Use

  1. Consult the price list to calculate the cost of your job.
  2. Purchase materials tickets from the cashier in the basement of 115 McCaul Street in the amount of your job.
  3. Go to the Digital Print Centre with your file. Please see Preparing My Files for more information on file formats and digital media.

How to Print Something in Colour for My Department

  1. Get an account code for billing from your department's administrator.
  2. Bring your file(s) to the Digital Print Centre, (see Preparing My Files), or order online.
  3. Please ensure the person picking up the job has the authority to sign a stock transfer. Student monitors are not permitted to sign stock transfers.

How to Print Something in Colour for Faculty Use

  1. Get an account code for billing from your faculty office or department chair.
  2. Bring your file(s) to the Digital Print Centre, (see Preparing My Files), or order online.
  3. Please ensure the person picking up the job has the authority to sign a stock transfer. Student monitors are not permitted to sign stock transfers.

You may not use your faculty print account to pay for colour prints - you must have an account code from your faculty office or your department chair. Due to the expense of colour printing, all faculties need to approve of all jobs before they are completed.
