SCULPTURE & INSTALLATION/FIRST YEAR SHOP
Overview
The Sculpture & Installation/First Year Shop (Room 170) provides students with an open studio environment, perfect for the exploration of 3D projects. The space is a multi-use facility where students can work in a variety of materials, such as wood, metal, plastic, paper, and Styrofoam. The following operations and tools are available in the SCIN/First Year Shop:
- Drilling, cutting, clamping, carving, grinding, sanding, assembly and construction
- Wood working hand and power tools
- Table saws
- Band saws
- Scroll saws
- Disc/belt sanders
- Drill press
- Air nailer
- Mini sand blaster
- Sewing machine
- Metal and plastic cutting and bending devices
