OCAD U is closed on all statutory holidays.
Extended Hours During Final 6 Weeks of Term
OCAD U extends access hours to students for the final six weeks of each term.
The main building at 100 McCaul Street (including the Sharp Centre for Design), 113 McCaul Street and 205 Richmond Street West stay open until 1 a.m. from Sunday to Friday, and until 10 p.m. on Saturdays. The opening hours of specific studios are posted at studio entrances, or you can view them online by visiting each studio section in the drop-down menu found on the left side of the Shops & Studios page.
Summer Hours
Summer Hours at OCAD U begin one week after the annual Graduate Exhibition, usually held the first weekend of May each year. The buildings at 100 and 113 McCaul Street are open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Both buildings are closed on weekends and statutory holidays for the duration of the summer. OCAD U resumes its normal hours of operation at the start of the fall term, in September.
Statutory Holidays and Holiday Closure
OCAD University is closed on statutory holidays, and for a period during the holiday season and new year. Visit Human Resources for current information.
Departmental Hours
Office of the Registrar hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the first week of classes in each semester, the office is open Monday and Tuesday until 7 p.m.
Dorothy H. Hoover Library hours during the week, weekends and holidays can be found on the Library page.
Administrative Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Academic Computer Centre is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays 12 to 6 p.m.
