Welcome to the OCAD University Human Resources website! Located in the vibrant city of Toronto, OCAD U is a dynamic and inspiring place to work, supported by a highly engaged and dedicated community.
The Human Resources Office is committed to supporting the University’s goals and employee well-being by partnering with academic and administrative offices to provide a full range of human resources services.
Human Resources’ mission within OCAD U recognizes that the University’s most valuable resource is its people, and we play an active role in support of the University’s strategic plan, including its vision, mission, core values, and strategic objectives. We strive to provide effective services that reflect best practices in such areas as: organizational development; employee recruitment & selection; compensation; performance management & recognition; training & development; succession planning; and employee relations. Working with senior management in strategic decision-making, and with our staff union, faculty association and supervisors in developing and implementing programs and services, we endeavour to maintain positive employee relations and ensure the equitable treatment of our employees.
Our OCAD U community recognizes that our most important role is to create a respectful and accessible environment where all members can contribute actively to reach their full potential.

For all members of the OCAD U Pension Plan and for those who are considering joining the plan, in partnership with Great West Life we are holding three information sessions in February to provide an overview of the Pension Plan geared to plan members at each of the following stages:
1. Getting Started - February 5, 2014
2. Getting Serious - February 12, 2014
3. Getting Close - February 19, 2014
The sessions will be informative and will provide the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. We hope to see you at one of the sessions!
