Maggie Broda, AOCA, BFA

Maggie Broda, AOCA, BFAMaggie Broda is a painter and an art and environmental activist as well as an educator. She has both a BFA and an AOCA. Her work has been exhibited in many Toronto locations and is in private collections including the Hamilton's Women's Art Association, Anglican Church of Canada and others. She is represented in Toronto by the Elaine Fleck Gallery and in Muskoka by the Muskoka Arts and Craft Group.Maggie dedicates energy to placing art in the core structure of public education with a particular emphasis on introducing newcomers to Canada to the magnificence of the landscape.

She has written critical Art curriculum and prepared detailed exemplars for the Ministry of Education. She leads watercolour painting seminars throughout the province, particularly on site at Algonquin Park during July and August for people of all ages. She is highly sought for her dynamic watercolour seminars that educate teachers and teacher candidates. Maggie has held the position of President of the OCAD Alumni Association since 2008, where many dynamic events continue to unfold under her leadership.
