Ian C. Tudhope
As co-founder of Tudhope Associates in 1984, Ian was responsible for the company’s growth into Canada’s leading brand consulting and design practice. For twenty years he provided strategic planning and brand counsel to leading corporations and consumer businesses in North America.
In 2000 he completed the sale of the firm to Omnicom, and the subsequent integration with its subsidiary Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy with 36 offices in over 28 countries. As Co-CEO and then Chairman of Interbrand Canada, Ian developed corporate strategy and cultural integration while building global performance and recognition.
Currently, as a Partner at Wessex Capital Partners, a private equity and advisory firm, Mr. Tudhope is focused on building a global portfolio of market leading companies operating in the professional disciplines of architecture and design services for the built environment. Wessex brings capital, business strategy, best practices, network opportunities and governance to its partner firms.
Ian is Chair of the Board of Governors of OCAD University, where creativity and innovation are nurtured to enrich the future of our culture and economy. As a graduate of the Director's College at McMaster University, Ian is a chartered professional corporate director. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program-AMP 170.
