Goyce Kakegamic
Goyce Kakegamic is the President/Founder of Aboriginal Family Empowerment. Goyce is a retired Deputy Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation and one of the visionaries behind the Northern Ontario School of Medicine where he is a Board member. After attending residential school, he earned degrees from Lakehead University (BA) and (BED). He went on to become a Teacher, Principal and Director of Education. Born in Keewaywin First Nation and raised traditionally on the land, Goyce is a talented artist whose work can be viewed in art galleries and private collections around the world.
