Alf Chaiton
Alf Chaiton is the President of Tweedsmuir Green Power Group – a company that specializes in developing small hydro projects in Ontario using innovative, proprietary low head technology. Alf has been Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Ottawa and the City Manager, responsible for planning issues, budget issues, economic development and intergovernmental relations, and previously, Senior Policy Advisor to the federal Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce. He has been a Senior Fellow at the Centre on Governance at the University of Ottawa, and co-founded the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), that trains and certifies international trade specialists. He was founding Chairman of the Capital Hill Group – a national government relations firm. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (Honours BA), of the London School of Economics (M.Sc) and of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (MA).
