CAMPUS DIALOGUES
What is it?
Campus Dialogues is a roundtable discussion forum at OCAD University. Students and employees come together to challenge themselves and to explore diversity/social issues in a respectful, safe, supportive and non-threatening environment. This is an opportunity to share ideas, question stereotypes and learn from each other.
Goal
Dialogue is a necessary ingredient when building a diverse community. We shall readily face challenging and uncomfortable topics. We shall ask hard questions even when we cannot agree on a single answer. We shall engage with each other and learn from our diverse perspectives.
When
Campus dialogues will take place two to three times every semester.
Who can participate?
All members of the OCAD U community are welcome to join. We are all “experts” because we have different experiences on campus.
Who gets to choose the topic?
Participants get to choose the topics to be discussed.
Campus Dialogues is not:
- a lecture series presented by an expert
- a solution based how-to-workshop

CAMPUS DIALOGUE UPDATES
Participants Comments:
Stan Krzyzanowski: I arrived thinking I'd have nothing to say and left bursting with what I wanted to say, but didn't get a chance to as everyone got a chance to be heard and listened to.
Spencer Harrison: Let us learn more about each other and in doing so, learn more about ourselves.
