(Toronto—May 29, 2009) The Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) is receiving $7.5 million in provincial funding through the Strategic Capital Infrastructure Program, the university announced today.
“Today’s announcement is a vote of confidence in our university’s unique studio-based programs, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and recognizes our vital role in driving growth and innovation in Ontario’s creative economy,” said Peter Caldwell, Vice-President, Finance & Administration. “This new funding will help OCAD to provide our students with an improved learning environment and an enhanced educational experience.”
The new funding for OCAD is part of the new Strategic Capital Infrastructure Program, which is providing a total of $55 million to Ontario universities and colleges.
