NSSE RESULTS
The National Survey on Student Engagement assesses the level of student involvement and engagement in educationally effective activities.
In 2008, over 500 universities in North America and every university in Ontario participated in NSSE (pronounced "Nessie"). This allows OCAD to benchmark its results against all Ontario universities, as well as against participating small universities in Canada, art and design schools and North American institutions.
Every university has a different mandate and different circumstances: urban/suburban, commuter/residential, large/small, etc. These characteristics need to be considered when institutions are compared.
